This shade is more '90s' because it's darker and more brown, which, as I recall, was a shade very popular in the 90s. It is a rose toned brown that leans more brown than pink, but it's not overpowering. Whirl is described as a dirty rose shade, and I think that fits its description perfectly. It's that browny-pink 90s lip that everyone has been loving this past year. Soar is described as a mid-tone pinkish brown, but I think it's more like a brown toned pink because I see more pink than brown. Plus, you can use them as lip liners or as lipsticks, the latter of which is something I enjoy doing quite often. They're still stiff enough that you can precisely line your lips. One thing I really like about MAC lip liners in general is that they're creamy, but not too creamy. So, MAC Whirl vs Soar - how do they compare? They're usually always sold out because these shades are so trendy at the moment, and they're perfect everyday colors.

Soar and Whirl are probably two of the most popular lip liners from MAC at the moment. The application, thanks to the formula, is very smooth and does not get that unfortunate caked-on appearance when building up the color. Pinkish nude MAC lipsticks with just the right balance of brown and pink tones are incredibly flattering on olive skin with the satiny finish and buildable coverage. Twig is a great color for days and nights. Satins are my favorite MAC finish because of this. Being a MAC satin, is has the staying power of a matte, but it is moisturizing. It is a beautiful mauve/brown color, similar to Mehr, but not as pink. Twig has become one of my very favorite lipsticks.

Whirl is also a dirty rose-colored lip pencil so it is the perfect MAC lip combo to accompany Burnt Spice. It is a warm dirty rose color and is richly pigmented. Burnt Spice comes from MAC's matte liquid lip color range. It includes MAC Mehr, Velvet Teddy, Ruby Woo, Diva, Twig, Brave, Whirl, Brave, etc dupes. 15 Best Selling MAC Lipstick Dupes That You Can Find At Maybelline.
